Here we are at the end of another month and the difficult task of naming our favorite read is upon us. Last month was especially difficult for us to narrow our choice to just one. Was September any easier?

The House by the Cypress Trees by Elena Mikalsen
The House by the Cypress Trees is a beautiful romance novel but it is so much more. It's not only the love story of two people but also an armchair tour of Italy. The author describes the various places in Italy so that you feel like you're there. She also writes a lot about the delicious Italian food and wine and it all makes you want to call your travel agent and book a trip. Steel Crow Saga by Paul Krueger
This is such a difficult decision because reviews for fantastic books were clustered together this month. My love of mythology and world-building came together in several novels. The Harp Of Kings, Steel Crow Saga and The Orchid Throne all fall into that category. The Water Dancer still haunts me, even as I try to demolish my To Be Read pile. (Though I keep adding to it too...)If I have to pick only one, my gut says the Steel Crow Saga. Be sure to read my full review. Any of these books though are more than worthy of several rereads. :) ~ MK

Paper Wife by Laila Ibrahim
I wasn't sure I was going to have a favorite book this month. Sure I read some really good books, but none that fully wowed me. Then I picked out my audiobook for this week, and within minutes I was totally engrossed in the story. I hated when I had to stop listening. It's been a while since I read a book that I didn't want to end. But that is exactly how I felt on Friday as the last few minutes of this moving story played. While it is perfect on its own, a small part of me wishes there was a sequel so I didn't have to say goodbye to these characters. ~ DonnaBuy Paper Wife at Amazon
