"He reads the letter three times before it sinks in. She's gone. They're gone...There is no trace of her, however, no passport, or driving license, none of those important things that frame her life...He is angry. More than angry. He's raging. It's a white heat inside him. He stares out through the window, the ball of paper damp in his sweating hands. Vodka. He needs vodka. She has no right to do this to him. Not after everything they've been through.
He will destroy her for it." (p 2)

My Comments:
I love reading a good thriller full of twists and turns and surprises and this book definitely provided that roller coaster ride. It's a suspense story with strong female characters and family secrets. The story is told by three women - all with secrets of their own: Lisa, her daughter Ava and Lisa's best friend Marilyn. As each of the main characters tells her part of the story, the reader is left to try to figure out the secrets. I thought I had things figured out several times only to find that I was on the wrong path. I know this is a short review but I don't want to give away any spoilers. All I can tell you is to read this if you enjoy a good psychological suspense novel. I plan to read some of this author's earlier books after enjoying this one.Buy Cross Her Heart at Amazon
