Now that Jemma has decided to stay in Clear Creek to run her grandmother's yarn shop, she is reconnecting with the friends she made when she spent her childhood summers in the mountain town. When she stumbles upon another dead body, she learns what has changed her best friend from a spunky teen to a less confident adult. Unfortunately, that past may send Kitty to prison unless Jemma can discover the real killer.

Last week I reviewed book 1 in the Clear Creek Mystery series (read my review of The Yarn That Binds) and I was so glad I had book 2 to start because I enjoyed it so much.
A Hill to Dye On is just as enjoyable as book 1. I love the characters and the mountain town setting. These are people you would want to know and a place you would like to visit.
The problem I had with book 1 didn't have with book 2. So it was an even better read. There is just minimal recap of book 1 so if you just read The Yarn That Binds and immediately picked up A Hill to Dye On you won't be bored. Likewise, it isn't necessary to have read book 1 to enjoy book 2 - they are quick, fun reads though so it is no hardship to read them both.
The mystery is a good one - the clues add up and I kind of figured out who was behind the murder before it was revealed in the book.
If you are looking for a new cozy mystery series to add to your reading list, then this is a good one.
