The Disappearance of Agatha Christie - a Movie and Book Review

by Donna Huber

While I enjoy reading an Agatha Christie movie, I don't know much about the life of the author. I'm not sure how or when I found out that she disappeared for 11 days, but I think it might have been when I saw a listing on PBS for a movie about those 11 days. While I wanted to watch it, I couldn't remember to when I would have time for an hour and a half movie.  Then a few months ago, I saw a book about her disappearance that is set to publish next week. I have enjoyed learning about authors when I've done deep dives into some of the classics, so I was interested in learning more about an author that I knew very little about. So last weekend I made time for the movie and then this week I listened to the audiobook. They are very different but both were entertaining.

The Department of Rare Books and Special Collections by Eva Jurczyk ~ a Review

by Donna Huber

I always see books about libraries but it is usually after they've been out for a while and the hold lists is long at the digital library. Many of them are historical fiction or have elements of fantasy or magical realism. I saw The Department of Rare Books and Special Collections and accepted it for review but when I started to read it I had forgotten what it was about so I expected it to be like the other recent books about libraries. But it wasn't it.

New from DC Comics

by MK French

DC Comics has a couple of new stories out this month that I really enjoyed. One is the second book in a trilogy and the other is one new to me. If you are a fan of graphic novels and comics, then you will want to pick up these two.

by Susan Roberts

At the crossroads, Tom pointed to a sign tacked to a big oak tree, crudely painted with the words, SWALLOW HILL WORK CAMP and an arrow pointing right.
